WILL COMPETE IN THE 21ST CENTURY
A product by XSEED
WHAT IS XSEED?
The XSEED system of learning is a powerful research-based
method that builds a strong learning foundation, better grades,
and true confidence in children. With the XSEED Method
children never forget—they actually understand concepts and do
things on their own. XSEED teachers undergo rigorous training.
That is why XSEED children speak English well, write on their
own, and solve problems confidently.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE XSEED?
Give your child the best chance of success. Do not resort to rote learning. Make your child actually understand concepts. Aligned to DepEd K-12 standards for each level, XSEED materials can be used both in a school setting or as an enrichment for topics that your child may be struggling in. XSEED gives kids daily opportunities to actually do hands-on activities, reflect on topics, ask questions of their own and write in their own words.

HOW TO USE THE BOOK-PACK AT HOME
XSEED is designed to make it extremely easy for parents and teachers to guide children and even track progress. Learning one concept a day in each subject can help the child cover the entire program at a healthy pace through the year.

CHOOSE A CONCEPT FOR LEARNING
For each subject, a child’s learning progresses through 112 concepts during the year. These concepts are organised into 28 chapters or Blocks. Each Block represents one week of work. We recommend doing them in order, but you may choose to change this based on your child’s needs or preferences.

READ & UNDERSTAND
Read to understand one concept at a time, using the Content Book. You may choose to read along with children and help with new words or concepts. Encourage them to write down, look up, and use new vocabulary. Children can also review the solved examples and weblinks as they read.

SOLVE
Solve the questions in the corresponding worksheet in the workbook. Each worksheet ends with a higher order thinking question as a special challenge. Encourage your child to attempt worksheets on their own. You can explain questions or give hints, but try not to give away the answers!

PRACTICE
Practice skills and concepts through Practice Questions at the end of each Block in the Content Book. These questions build knowledge, understanding, and higher order thinking skills. You may encourage your child to re-read the Content Book, look at solved worksheets, or even do some extra reading online alongside these.

Performance Task
Performance Tasks at the end of each Block help students apply what they have learned to a real-life problem through an interesting, hands-on experience. Many performance tasks require interacting with family or community members. You may do these together with your child, or they may complete them independently.

Self Assessment
Block Assessment Reports in the Student Workbook describe what students should be able to do after studying with each Block. Each Report consists of a simple, 3-level scale for conceptual understanding and skill development. You may use these rubrics to check your child's work, or your child may use them for self assessment.
